The Learning Spaces team are responsible for ensuring that central learning spaces are maintained, operational, and fit for purpose to support high-quality learning experiences at UQ.

Key responsibilities

• Lead approved learning space projects, partnering with Property & Facilities teams, Information Technology Services, architects, designers, and suppliers.
• Plan and conduct evaluations of learning spaces to inform decision-making and prepare detailed proposals, reports, and communications for senior committees and stakeholders.
• Conduct regular inspections of learning spaces to proactively identify issues and ensure compliance with University standards.
• Coordinate the resolution of minor works, maintenance, or urgent space-related issues (e.g., misplaced furniture or room readiness concerns), ensuring timely follow-up and escalation of major infrastructure or safety incidents to the appropriate teams.
• Manage both the external and internal booking process for central learning spaces, including assessing requests, confirming availability, billing, and issuing approvals in line with University policies.
